Christ the Redeemer Church, Kelambakkam was bifurcated from Covelong  Parish in the year 1996, with four sub stations spread around 20 Kms.  The new Parish Church was blessed by the Bishop of Chingleput Rt. Rev. Dr. Neethinathan and inaugurated by the Provincial of  MSFS on 17th December 2006. The Annual Feast is celebrated on 16th January.
