This Parish was created by the efforts of late Rev. Fr. P. J. Kurian who was the Parish Priest of Adambakkam. In 1992, he built a small chapel in Ganesh nagar, Madipakkam. The Church was dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes on March 28th 1992 and was made a separate Parish in 1999. Under the Diocese of Chingleput, Rev. Fr. Devasia built a new Church which was consecrated and blessed on 28th May 2006.
