A Brief History
The seed of faith at Sendivakkam was sown by the great missionaries of the Archdiocese of Pondicherry-Cuddalore. The historical evidences date back to 1920. It was one of the sub staions of St. Joseph’s Church of Acharapakkam under the Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore. This became a separate Parish in 2007, with a beautiful, newly built church, dedicated to Mother Mary Help of Christians. The Holy altar to the Lord has got the relic of St. Martin de Pores who has a special gift of curing all diseases. It has a wide range of educational institutions attached to the Parish. The annual feast is celebrated on 24th May.
